I'm just a hometown girl living the best life I can in a small North Idaho town, nestled in the mountains. I preserve my own food, love to cook and entertain, and I'm savoring my retirement years with my handsome husband, Mitch.

When Awareness Finally Set In

With some gentle nudging from my daughter-in-law and a dear friend, I started to really think about what I was putting on my body-chemicals, dyes, and heavy perfumes I'd never questioned before. I've always been a sun worshipper and a serious slatherer, and I loved the bold fragrances of big-name lotions, body creams, candles, and laundry products. But something wasn't right. I just didn't feel good.

The Recipe That Started It All

That's when my daughter-in-law introduced me to tallow. She shared her recipe, and from the very first batch, I was hooked. I fell in love with Whipped Tallow Body Butter-how it felt, how it absorbed, and how my skin responded. I started making it for myself, then gifting it to friends. And they kept coming back.

From Gifts to Growing Demand

Friends of all ages started using words like "obsessed" and "love." I gave it away for as long as I could, but when you're using high-quality, organic, natural ingredients, that generosity adds up fast.

The Moment SlatherUp Was Born

One morning, a friend told me she was completely slathered up with my Christmas blend. The way she said it-happy, content, glowing-sounded just like my dear sister (rest her soul). In that moment, SlatherUp was born.

Today, this creamy goodness is flying off the shelves, and I’ve enlisted Mitch to help. He takes a LOT of breaks, but when push comes to shove, he’s right in the middle of production and out delivering tins to old friends and new.
